“This has been by far my favorite experience overall! She is very detailed and brings new designs to the field. I’ve only encountered new layouts and new tasks to test our potential. She is a very dedicated individual and only delivers quality to the client. Very passionate about her field and giving that extra finishing touch. Her working method is marvelous easy going and makes the job go by smoothly. Thanks Boss Lady!”

“It was truly a pleasure working with you, Shundra. As novices in working with an interior design consultant, you were extremely patient with our questions and concerns. You spent time getting to know us and paid excellent attention to our tastes and needs. You gently guided us through our selection process and wonderfully incorporated our existing art and artifacts into the overall design plan. We want to say thank you for adding the design touches that turned our new custom house into a beautiful and comfortable home. Thanks Shundra”

The best decision that I could have ever made was to work with Shundra Harris Interiors. Not only did Shundra draw the architectural plans for our new home, she dId the design for the interiors. She was able to incorporate my vision into the design of our home. She guided my husband and I through what could have been an extremely difficult process and made it less stressful. The end result was a beautiful, stylish comfortable home. Shundra is knowledgeable, easy to work with and the complete professional. I have absolutely no regrets and highly recommend her services.

“Shundra Harris is interior design royalty and I don’t believe we would ever embark on a design project without her involvement. She starts by figuring out her clients design instincts. She does so without you really knowing it, and quickly she is only offering selections that’ll fit your style. Shundra has both the academic design background and natural instincts to be an expert in spatial design, color, textures, materials, lighting, and realizes that cost matters. The choices can be overwhelming but Shundra will help you navigate your way through those decisions. Shundra will help you make sure that everything will work together to help you achieve the look you want. We love our home and could never have achieved these results without Shundra’s expertise and attention to detail.”

“I have been a healthcare and special needs interior designer for 30+ years and have had the advantage of also being an Interior Design Professor.  This gave me the opportunity to hire graduates and place graduates from the program into internships. I saw in Shundra, as a student, a unique talent and hired her as an intern for my firm. It was one of the best decisions I could have made.  She quickly proved to be a most valuable asset and stayed with me for many years as my lead designer.

From my standpoint, in designing for special need populations, for a design project to move from the basics of answering the functional needs of the client to the higher plane of being an outstanding project making a real difference in lives through design, requires specialized skills.  The ability to research evidence based solutions, to work with interdisciplinary teams to design products and rooms that work for special situations while also being affordable, and to creatively address difficult situations that not only require high functionality but also encompass beauty to create non-institutional environments, is a hard design team to put together.

Shundra has the unique qualification of performing and understanding all of these tasks which is rare to find in one person. I attributed it partly due to her background as a practicing engineer that gave her the ability to design projects that really worked, along with her true empathy for the situations our clients are requiring design help with, to her amazing creativity combined with detailed budget control. Shundra to was able to lead us on from good projects to amazing projects.

As an added bonus to me, It was also not hard to see Shundra’s ability to connect with our clients and communicate our designs to them. She has an engaging personality and this communication skillset worked well for me. Being an educator, I have often been asked to give presentations to designers and architects as well as non-profit organizations on a local and national level.  She was able to jump in and fill this role as a co-presenter that made the presentations so much easier and better.

It is not often I can give such a great recommendation to a truly great designer.”
